How you get certified
The AI Risk Certificate is not sold standalone. It is issued only after we complete a Full AI Risk Review of your in-scope AI systems. That review includes a complete inventory, security testing, compliance readiness assessment, and a prioritized remediation roadmap. When we deliver the final report, we also issue your certificate and a board- or regulator-ready summary.
If you need ongoing certification, the Continuous AI Risk Program includes an initial full review (and certificate) plus quarterly refreshes and annual recertification. Each year we run a full reassessment and issue a renewed certificate with a current date, so your evidence stays valid for procurement and regulators.
When certification matters
Certification matters when you need defensible evidence for third parties. Enterprise customers often require proof that your AI systems have been independently assessed before they sign or renew. Boards and review committees use the certificate and executive summary as part of their oversight of AI risk. Regulators and accreditation bodies may expect current evidence of due diligence. The certificate is time-bound and verifiable, so it stays credible as your "current" posture.
If your goal is internal risk visibility only (understanding where your gaps are and what to fix first), the AI Snapshot Review is a lighter option that does not include a certificate. When you are ready for procurement, board, or regulatory evidence, the Full AI Risk Review and certificate are the right fit.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get an AI Risk Certificate?
The certificate is issued upon successful completion of a Full AI Risk Review or as part of the Continuous AI Risk Program (including at annual recertification). We do not issue certificates without a full assessment—the certificate reflects the scope and findings of your actual review.
What does the certificate attest to?
It attests that an independent AI risk review was completed for the stated scope and date. It includes your overall risk grade, domain-level scores (inventory, data, security, governance, monitoring), issue and validity dates, and a unique certificate ID. It is not a generic "compliant" seal; it reflects the actual scope and outcome of the assessment.
How long is the certificate valid?
Certificates are time-bound (typically one year from issue). This keeps evidence current for procurement and regulators. With the Continuous AI Risk Program, you receive annual recertification and a renewed certificate each year.
Can we use it for vendor questionnaires and procurement?
Yes. Many clients use the certificate and accompanying executive summary to satisfy enterprise vendor risk and security reviews. The summary is written for procurement and legal audiences. The certificate ID and QR code allow third parties to verify authenticity.
What's the difference between certification and the Snapshot Review?
The AI Snapshot Review delivers an executive summary and risk picture for 2–3 systems but does not include a formal certificate. It's best for internal visibility and planning. For a certificate and compliance evidence, you need a Full AI Risk Review or the Continuous AI Risk Program.
